Is Karl George Sanft legally insane?
The California man said he killed two people in a meth-fueled haze because the voices of FBI agents told him to, the New York Daily reports.
Today he is expected to find out whether an Alameda County Judge believes Sanft is mentally competent.
Sanft stabbed a security guard 22 times and then stabbed a truck driver 48 times. The men died.
Sanft said he tried to kill a witness because “God doesn’t like snitches.”
Prosecutors argue Sanft was aware of his actions.
Doctors couldn’t agree on whether Sanft was legally sane at the time of the 2010 killings.
