Mother’s Day Car Crash Kills Border Patrol Agent, His Mother And Sister

A Border Patrol agent was among three people killed in a two-vehicle crash in Arizona on Mother’s Day.

Lupe Hurtado was identified as the Border Patrol agent, the Arizona Republic reports. His sister and their mother were also killed, according to a verified GoFundMe account

The family was in a vehicle on U.S. 89 that was struck by a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction near Tuba City.

Hurtado’s wife and son were hospitalized, and Hurtado and his mother and sister were pronounced dead at the scene.  

The FBI arrested the driver of the truck for suspected drunken driving.
