Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, known for his stop-and-frisk tactics and zealous pursuit of Islamic terrorists, was quick to criticize the FBI.

In a wide-ranging interview with the New York Times, Kelly accused the FBI of failing to cooperate with local police.

He cited Boston as an example following the bombings last year.

“We want information right away,” he says. “I think in retrospect the mayor in Boston and the police commissioner in Boston feel the same way based on what they knew or didn’t know relative to the Boston Marathon bombing.”

During Kelly’s tenure, he pursued doggedly Muslims and built a counterterrorism apparatus, the Times wrote.
