Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office Targeted in FBI Raid Targeting Past Administration

FBI agents seized unspecified files and other records from the Philadelphia Sheriff”s Office on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation into the former administration, the USA Today reports.

That administration was led by John Green, who resigned in January 2011 following allegations of corruption and mismanagement.

A spokesman for Sheriff Jewell Williams said employees are cooperating but wouldn’t divulge more details about the investigation.

Green was sued as part of a civil lawsuit in which he and others are accused of violating contracting rules.
