Following weeks of delays, President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team has begun shifting its focus to Homeland Security.
Trump met with two prospective Homeland Security leaders this week, the Wall Street Journal reports. They were Frances Townsend and Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas.
Trump also is considering retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, the former commander of the U.S. Southern Command.
Homeland security was created by then-President George W. Bush following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
