Secret Service agents surrounded Bernie Sanders during a rally in Oakland, Calif.  on Monday after at least four people rushed the stage.

It was unclear why the stage was rushed, but Sanders was not injured.

The individuals were apprehended and taken into custody.

Their identities were not revealed as of Tuesday morning.

“It was handled professionally by the Secret Service,” Sanders spokesman Michael Briggs said.

In March, Secret Service agents sprang into action when someone tried to rush the stage at a Donald Trump rally.
