Cane, a Secret Service dog, became unsettled at 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 22, 2014.
“’Cane, buddy—what is up with you?” his handler asked him.
At 7:16 p.m., a man jumped the White House fence, and the dog’s handler yelled out for the unwanted intruder to stop or he’d unleash the canine, Mens Journal reported, citing Maria Goodavage’s book, “Secret Service Dogs.”
After the intruder ignored the commands, another dog named Jadan lunged at the man, biting him in the stomach. Later, the man kicked Jadan in the head.
Another dog, Hurricane, was let loose, and he grabbed the intruder’s knee. But the man repeatedly punched Hurricane.
Then Jadan came rushing back, biting the man.
“OK, I’m done! Get the dogs off of me!” the intruder called out.
Neither dog was seriously injured, but the intruder and threat were stopped.
