Secret Service is planning to hold drone exercises in the Washington D.C. area over the next few weeks, Bloomberg reports.
The agency said in a statement Tuesday that it plans “a series of exercises involving unmanned aircraft systems” in the restricted airspace of Washington.
Secret Service declined further comment.
The meeting comes after the FAA earlier this month proposed regulations for the flying cameras.
Secret Service also was dealing with a security breach after a radio-controlled quadracopter crashed into the White House lawn.
