A 17-year-old accused of carjacking an FBI agent in Washington’s Capitol Hill neighborhood was arrested and charged, D.C. police said.

The teenager was charged as an adult this week and appeared in court Tuesday, The Washington Post reports

The suspect’s identity was not immediately available.

The off-duty agent was driving a blue Chevy Malibu about 3:45 p.m. on Nov. 29 in the 100 block of 12th Street NE, near Lincoln Park. As she got out of her car and began to zip her coat, she was knocked to the ground. Disoriented, she recalls looking up and seeing a gun pointed at her by a suspect who demanded, “Give me your keys, give me your keys.”

The suspect stole the vehicle at gunpoint and fled in the car, police said.

About a half hour later, the vehicle was found in the 1000 block of 15th Street SE, on the southern edge of Capitol Hill.

The case remains under investigation.
