Surveillance video caught two brazen TSA agents at Miami International Airport rifling through passengers’ bags and stealing thousands of dollars in cash and other items, according to prosecutors.
Labarrius Williams, 33, and Josue Gonzalez, 20, were shown on newly released surveillance footage rummaging through bags of unsuspecting travelers as they waited to go through the scanner at a checkpoint in June, the New York Post reports.
They were arrested in July, along with co-worker Elizabeth Fuster. Charges were later dropped against her.
The video captures the alleged thieves working together to steal money from wallets and purses that moved past them on the X-ray machine.
Authorities say the pair admitted to “numerous thefts” from travelers, saying they stole an average of $1,000 a day while working together.
Gonzalez and Williams have pleaded not guilty to third-degree felony grand theft charges.
