ATF’s headquarters in Washington D.C. was evacuated Thursday afternoon after an employee said she felt sick after opening a package containing “a suspicious liquid substance.”

Hazmat crews tested the substance and did not detect anything harmful. The substance was sent to a lab for further analysis, ATF said on Twitter at 4:32 p.m.

“Hazmat is out, substance tested clear, will send to lab for further analysis,” tweeted.

D.C. Police, Fire and EMS also responded to the scene.

There were no updates on the employee early Friday morning.

“More information will be released at the appropriate time,” ATF tweeted.

The FBI is searching for a man suspected of possessing explosives in San Francisco.

The USA Today reports that federal agents, police and investigators in hazmat suits were searching the apartment of Ryan Kelly Chamberlain II, 42, on Sunday.

The FBI issued a national alert for Chamberlain, who is considered armed and dangerous.

More details weren’t available this morning.

Neighbors reported nothing unusual.

“He was a pretty normal guy,” she said. “I would never ever have thought that this was a dangerous person at all.”

DETROIT — The FBI is searching for bone fragments and other human remains at an industrial area on Detroit’s east side, WXYZ reports.

Crews in HAZMAT suits searched the area Thursday and plan to resume today.

WXYZ conjectured that it’s possible that human body parts were being sold but provided no evidence or attribution.

The industrial site, International Biological, is owned by Arthur Rathburn, a suburban man who worked in the anatomy department for the University of Michigan from 1984 to 1990.

Agents also searched his home.
