U.S. District Judge James Boasberg of D.C. has ordered the Justice Department and the FBI to turn over to him complete memos written by James Comey about President Donald Trump.
Boasberg ordered both full and redacted versions of the memos by Monday so he can decide whether to release them to the public, the HuffPost reports.
Boasberg’s order is in response to a 2017 Freedom of Information Act case brought by CNN, other media outlets and conservative organization Judicial Watch.
Comey revealed after he was fired in May 2017 that he had jotted down contemporaneous notes and written memos from them after meetings with Trump, HuffPost notes.
