Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty Tuesday to three firearms charges during an arraignment in a federal court in Delaware.

President Biden’s son was indicted last month on three counts in connection with his possession of a firearm while using illegal drugs.

The indictment came after a proposed plea deal fell apart.

The younger Biden, 53, is accused of lying about his drug use while buying a Colt Cobra handgun in 2018.

It was the first criminal prosecution of a sitting U.S. president’s child, Reuters reports

Additional charges, such as tax evasion, could be filed against Hunter Biden in the next several months.

Meanwhile, House Republicans are investigating whether the president’s son received special treatment from the Justice Department.
