The new head of the Houston DEA knows a thing or two about drug cartels.

Javier Pena, whose new turf includes the Mexican border, helped hunt down the infamous Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, the Associated Press reports.

In fact, AP reported that Pena has a photo of a Colombian federal agent in 1993 posing over the body on a rooftop with the words: “Thanks Javier, DEA; +mission accomplished.”
